These trees are located in Butte County, California, casualties of the Dixie Fire which burned through Butte, Plumas, Lassen, Shasta, and Tehama counties. This enormous wildfire was named after Dixie Road, near where the fire started. This series of four images reveal detailed haunting beauty from the devastation and what's left standing. They may appear to be black and white images but subtle color indicates life where devastation roared through.
