Series of 10, framed 40 x 32"

White Walls

This series of ten images was made at the same time as the Graves series. After completing both series, I thought of them as counterparts because of the shifts in light, tone and value. What is seen here are things probably not meant not to be seen. The photographic medium, inherently imbedding presence and absence and truth and evidence, allow a slower examination of objects mostly unseen and overlooked. These images are printed at one to one scale,  relying on the role of trompe l’oeil and doubling down on the objects’ presence and absence.
